Members of Out at St Paul's gather for Mass in Sheridan Square in front of Stonewall
A bulletin message from Robert Choiniere, D.Min. in the June 24 bulletin at St Francis Xavier Church
Many of our parishes choose to participate in LGBT Pride events which generally take place in the late spring. While these events in most cases are not directly connected with the Interparish Collaborative, our parishes share our goal of welcoming all God's children. The pictures below are from 2018's pride events. To see previous years, click on the "Pride Celebrations" tab and choose from the listed prior years.
One June 24, 2018, members of our parishes from around the TriState area marched as part of NYC Pride.
At Our Lady of Grace in Hoboken, Fr Alex Santora led a special Pride Mass before the March. The Mass may be viewed here. (To hear Fr. Alex's homily, jump to marker 17:40.)
Imaculater Heart of Mary in Kensington and St Augustine in Park Slope participated in Brooklyn Pride on June 9, welcoming folks to their booth.
On MAY 19, Catholics from around NJ marched from Lambertville NJ across the Delaware into new Hope PA, carrying our message of a welcoming Church! The rain could not dim our spirits. Check out the photos below.
New Jersey parishes marched in Asbury Park for Jersey Pride on June 3. Despite less than ideal weather conditions, Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach and Church of the Sacred Heart in South Plainfield, encouraged by other NJ and PA parishes, took part in the parade and the festival.
